Flextile
Flextile is a flexible and easy-to-use portable display system. The foldable aluminum frames can be connected and built into an infinite number of combinations. They hold wrinkle-free fabric prints, can be stacked, packed and built with corners and angles to create any interior for trade shows and similar.
Spennare approached us with a simple yet challenging brief: How can we create a truly innovative and novel display product that utilizes fabric prints, and that is portable and modular?
Flextile can be folded and unfolded with the printed fabric mounted on the frame. Once the graphic is installed you never have to remove it or reinstall it again. Stack vertically and connect horizontally, simple and intuitive but very capable. Build everything from a simple tabletop, to a larger backwall.

Design process
Designing Flextile was a complex process. The frames needed to be easy to handle and safe to use. and at the same time very stabile. First we established what type of display the customers wanted, which we found out through extensive research including interviews and observations in various contexts. After that we could generate lots of ideas on how to fold a frame, with the fabric still attached.
A big challenge was to create foldable corners, with the fabric attached, and also how the frames could be connected in a stabile way. Working through many prototypes we decided on the final design which includes two types of corners and accessories such as different feet and top connectors.
