Clean water is a scarce commodity in many places around the globe, generally where there’s also an abundance of sunlight. Our friend Silvio Almuna recognized this correlation and had an idea for this unique water-purifying device, which he asked us to design.

The sun heats up the dirty water which evaporates, leaving heavier particles and bacteria behind in the black bowl, and condenses against the transparent dome. The water that then trickles down along the sides into the white basin is fresh, clean and ready to drink!
